  I put all the most important  points below the logo in the header for easy access. Job Description: To create a poker blog design . Creativity was left up to us.

Features Of The Design I Love:

• Everything
  I absolutely love how this design turned out, from the design, to the header. The colour scheme to the card symbols we used everywhere to really brand it as a poker blog.
• The Post Divisions
  The line with the Spade symbol , I think personally this was not only an effective way to break up the posts, but tkaes advantage of another opportunity to really follow through the poker theme.
  
  
• Highly Visible RSS Links
  If you are looking to build subscribers to your blog, having highly visible RSS buttons above the fold and also below each post is integral. Since I wasn’t designing a secondary page I focused on optimising the RSS images in the sidebar.

Job Description: Our client felt that their current design was much to simple and white, and wanted to create a design that focused more on branding without taking anything away from the content. They asked if we could work with the colours from their logo to help with branding their companies image.

Features Of The Design I Love:

• Visible Contact Form
  I placed the contact form above the fold to help increase the amount of email requests that they get. I think it fits nicely, standing out enough to get noticed but fitting with the design perfectly.
• Key Information At The Bottom
  A lot of people visit a SEO company without actually fully understanding what search engine optimisation actually is. I thought it would be great to give first time visitors a sample of what service this company would actually provide.

Job Description: To design a template for  a review site for dating  information products.  My client requested a romantic feel but gave me full creative rights, allowing me to come up with a design that I thought they would love.

This was the first design that I came up with and the client love it.

• Featured Products At Top
  This dramatically helps with conversion because it is the first thing that they see, improving the chance of the product links being clicked.
• The Star Ratings
  I don’t know about you but the stars really grab my attention. Mainly because of the colour. This brings the focus of the page back to the affiliate products.
• Reviews Above The Articles In Sidebar
  This was another purposeful move, because the articles are important for seo. So the links and text are important, but for  a monetisation point of view the review links are much more important.

Website With A Blog….Or?

I have been trying to work out whether WebPros is a business website with a blog or a blog that also provides a service. I have come to the conclusion that it is both and different people will use it in different ways. While some people may visit specifically because they are looking for design work, others will just come to read our blog posts and learn more about website design and to get inspired.

Why A Blog?

I decided to run WebPros on the Wordpress blogging platform because I wanted a content management system that I was familiar with and that was extremely easy to use. A lot of people miss out because they think of Wordpress as only a blogging platform, when it can easily be used as a content management system for any style of website.

Fresh Content

Blogs keep people coming back with their frequently updated content. This is one of my favourite benefits about blogs, you build up a reader base, which means you don’t have to go searching for all your visitors - they come each time you make a new post.

Fresh content is great for search engines and visitors alike. The more your page is updated, the more frequent the search engines will visit your website and no one likes to visit a website that always stays the same.

Blogging Makes Things More Personal

In my opinion, especially on a business website, blogging allows you to add a more personal touch to your website. It allows you to meet and get to know your visitors and let’s them know that you are a real person.

Helps Get More Clients

When people are looking for a designer, the truth is that they usually use someone they know or are recommended by someone else. My goal with adding a blog to this website, is that my visitors will turn into subscribers and get to know us and our work so that when it comes time for them to need some design work done - they will come to us.
